ITS DEFINETLEY HISTORY BOOK MATERIAL!
I have absolutely nothing against an African-American getting nominated or even being elected President. I just do not believe THIS African-American is right for the job. I commend him for making history. I just do not feel he has enough experience to protect our nation from the bullies that will surely take advantage of his lack of experience. I am sure he knows it too and that is why he chose Joe Biden to run with him.
I think it is great that 45 years after Martin Luther King Jr.‘s “I Have A Dream” speech, that Barack Obama can make that dream come true. Whether he wins or not, he definetley has made history.
It was a powerful speech. I was impressed, but I was already voting for him anyway. I think most people have already made up their minds about how they’ll vote & who they’ll vote for in this election, but am discouraged by the number of people who seem to want to opt out of the system & not vote. If you aren’t even voting, I don’t think you have an opinion to share.
It was the same old ‘change’ message he has been going on with the entire time. I wasn’t impressed.
Although I am discouraged at all the attention he is getting for making the speech. We say we want to break racial barriers but when Obama or any other black person does something, we make a big deal about them doing it. Will John McCain’s speech be deemed ‘historic’ - I think not, and only because he is not of a different race, sex, or culture. Only when we act like all people are equal and quit making such a big deal when other races, sexes, and cultures do something will the barriers be brought down.
