Gilmore Girls: Cool Hand Luke

This will be a short recap, as this is a repeat episode this week. Love in all its glory was the theme this week. Lorelai is still dealing with her tryst with Christopher and telling Luke all about it. Luke acts totally dirty the whole episode—hitting Christopher (warranted or not, he cold cocked him off-guard,) telling Lorelai he isn’t upset about the break-up, and even points out that she proposed to him. Rory copes with Logan being away in London, and mourns the subsequent death of their trip around Asia. Lane returns from her honeymoon to not-so-rave reviews of her wedding-night experience (and, in retrospect, a very suspicious “stomach bug”.)
Kirk hilariously rips off Luke’s diner after temporarily shutting it down by driving into the front window. Lorelai throws Rory an Asian-themed party to make up for the missed trip, and Rory finds out that her mom slept with her dad. Watching it over again, I can appreciate how human each character acts (except for TJ, who is just plain ridiculous) and how sad the destruction of Luke and Lorelai’s relationship has been! Even though he’s been ugly, I can forgive Luke…
