It’s a part of the job, as a Sheriff’s Office warrant officer. You take risks with every stop you make, every door you approach. Your life is on the line. It’s an incredible sacrifice, to protect and serve. This is a loss, the Spartanburg community hasn’t experienced in decades. Share your thoughts or messages of support to the family. I’ll see you on Your CW News at Ten.

This is all very sad and could have been avoided…My heart goes out to the Police Officer that passed away and his family..He didn’t deserve to die…Citizens should have more respest for the law…

Maybe taking the car away from the criminals in addition to writting traffic tickets would deter the bad guys. What a shame. The police officer was set up for failure by the system.
Maybe putting an extra police officer in the patrol car with a deputy will make it safer for them..
How can the penalty for a traffic ticket possibly be enough to kill over? What ever happened to admitting you’re wrong and paying the fine? I used to live in a rural county where some of the guys liked to go fishing in a protected spot. I’ve over-heard this conversation a hundred times. “Wanna go fishin? I’ll pick up the fine this time.” It wasn’t worth killing over. What makes any of us think the world revolves around our personal convenience?
