Fixing Education in South Carolina

    Jim Rex takes office tomorrow. As you know South Carolina has a lot of work to do, to move education forward.  So what do you think the new superintendent of education needs to make his top priority in 2007.  Share your comments with us below. I heard on the news this week that we have one of the highest numbers of well-trained teachers in the nation.  We also have some of the worst schools in the nation.  I’m saying this as a parent.  Jim Rex needs to find a way to make education a higher priority in the home, because if the teachers are well-prepared and the students are still falling behind, then it’s the students who aren’t prepared.
