Jim Rex takes office tomorrow. As you know South Carolina has a lot of work to do, to move education forward. I heard on the news this week that we have one of the highest numbers of well-trained teachers in the nation. We also have some of the worst schools in the nation. I’m saying this as a parent. Jim Rex needs to find a way to make education a higher priority in the home, because if the teachers are well-prepared and the students are still falling behind, then it’s the students who aren’t prepared.
