I THINK HE NEED TO BE FIRED , BECAUSE THAT WAS NOT CAUSE FOR,THE GIRLS BASKETBALL TEAM NEED TO PUSH IT FOR HE CAN GET FIRED,IF YOU REMEMBER ON ESPN LAST YEAR WHEN THE SPOKMASES GAVE THAT MEAN REMART ABOUT (MCNAIR NFL FOOTBALL PLAYER),THEY MADE HIM REZIAN, SO WHAT MAKE IT SO MUCH DIFFERENT.IMUS NEED TO BE FIRED BECAUSE THAT’S NOT THE FIRST TIME HE HAVE DID THIS OR SAID RACIT RANT WORDS. WHY GIVE HIM ANOTHER CHANCE WHEN THEY DIDN’T GIVE THE SPOKMANES ON ESPN ANOTHER TRY SO WHY SHOW FAVORTISM.IT’S NOT RIGHT?

I feel that he should be fired, because he has a long history of these types of comments and as long as he is on the air he will continue to make these racial comments.  Those girls did something very positive and he took their shine away with such a cruel and heartless steroypical statement.

GET RID OF HIM SEND HIM RUNNING, BECAUSE THAT’S SOMEBODY CHILD,HE WOULDN’T WHAT NO ONE TO SAY THINGS ABOUT HIS CHILD ARE MOTHER,SEND HIM HOME?

I think he should apologize to the Rutger’s BBall team and that’s it. He said a stupid thing and needs to apologize to them. He was only insulting them and no one else. Al and Jessie need to shut their hypocritical mouths.

What exactly did Imus say that was racist?  Referring to someone as “nappy-headed” does not necessarily mean he is singling out one race.  Calling the team “hos” was definitely wrong. The problem is that the comment has forced a certain group of people to alienate themselves, therefore the same group now wants Imus fired.  I am not an Imus fan, never have been, never will be.  But give the guy a break, the comment was not racist.  Imus, go to Sirius Satellite Radio and forget it. Sharpton, can’t you find something else to do?

If they let him go for two weeks, when he get back he will do it again and again just because he got away with this time and when he do it again ,I guess they will let him go for three weeks and next time he make those racial comments.someone like that don’t need to be working on-air or any where.he make our country looks bad and ashamed.what positive input he can give our youth and family.

Yes I agree that he needs to apologize, but that’s it.  Al and Jesse don’t have any right to call some one a racist.  They are the bigest racist around, when things don’t go there way.

An apology is enough said.  Al Sharpton and the hipocrit “Jessie” are the biggest racist as anyone, more than most.  I have seen more racism from black people.  Previous comment from “Annette” is correct.

How come these rap stars can use terrible racist remarks in their lyrics but let one white guy use one and BAM! Here comes the judges so called Jessie and Al Sharpton. Oh well at least it gives Jessie and Al something to do for a day or two. I totally disgree with what Imus said but what about Young Jeezy, P.Diddy, Ying Yang Twins, Eight Ball and MJG, etc. Their lyrics are the worst racists remarks I have ever heard. So if you are going to stop it, how about stopping it altogether and please don’t call it entertainment.

Even if he hadn’t said anything racist, which he did, calling them “hos” ought to be enough to get him fired.  As for Al & Jessie, I haven’t heard of either of them say anything THAT blatantly racist or sexist.  The fact of the matter is that, if they did, somebody would be screaming for their head on a platter just like they did with Don Imus.  He’s been on the radio for awhile.  He’s not new to this.  He knew what he was doing and did it anyway.  At some point, people have to held accountable for their poor judgement.  For the record, if you feel the need to insult ME, I would PREFER you make fun of the mop I call hair rather than call me a “ho”.

What is really pathetic is that the 2 biggest racists in America, Rev. Sharpton and Rev. Jessie are on board with this thing. Oh wait, thats right… racism doesent work in reverse. At one point Jessie and Al were both were wanting apology tax for slavery.  If that is the case, we owe the English, Dutch, Itallians, Spanish, and many more alot of money as most races in the world have been slaves at one time or another.
Get over it and move on people, there are much more important things going on in the world if we can laugh at stupid stuff and pull together. I dont see the Revs going to Iraq to see if they can help there?

make stupid statements, I think they and their ilk should also be fired.  I think there is a one sided business to this issue. Oh no, we all have to be “politically correct”.  Right?  Who is racist, who is is a bigot?  I don’t agree with Imus on lots of things, but, I think also that if the blacks support the likes of Snoopy Doggy Dog, or what ever, they need to sweep off their back porch.
