BLOGPOLL - Jerry Buck Inman wants to die

By Amy Wood
Monday, September 08, 2008

Tiffany Souer’s killer confessed to strangling the Clemson student with her bikini top.  And told the judge he wants to die.  He wants the court,  to move to the sentencing phase and give him the death penalty.

So should he get what he wants?  Would Jerry Buck Inman be better off behind bars for the rest of his life?  Is he playing mind games?

Give him what he wants.  Where is the logic in spending a fortune to defend and house a confessed monster who is doing his best to turn down the “help.”

If he is competent to stand trial or enter a plea, then he is competent to wish his fate. Don’t know why judges don’t normally grant the death penalty when requested by the defendant, but what good is he doing this world by wasting our money in prison until he dies. I would like for a judge to help me understand.

Thanks for the comments.  Seems you’ve got a theme going here on the waste of money it would be to keep him alive. Keep the posts coming.

He’s an incarnation of Evil reared up and walking on it’s hind legs.  Kill him.

I personally think he should spend the rest of his life in prison.  Tiffany Souer wasn’t given the choice to live or die.  Jerry Buck Inman took it upon himself to decide that she nneded to die. That wasn’t fair to her or her family.

Why give this monster what he wants when Ms. Souers didn’t ask for what he did to her. I say let him rot behind bars so he can live the rest of his miserable life thinking about what he has done. Granting him his wish of the death penalty is just an easy way out for him.

Does he really want death or does he want the system to think that is what he wants so they will give him life - I say make him suffer just like he mad Tiffany Souers suffer.  Why can’t we just strangle him with his underwear????

I dont think he should get off easy like the death penalty would be. I think he should suffer alot before we kill him. Give him a taste of his own medicine. Maybe if we started doing this before we kill them alot of these murders might slow down. I mean who would kill someone knowing they were gonna get tortured more than their victum before they would be put to death? I know I would think twice even though I have no inclanation to kill someone if I did knowing that would probally make me change my mind.

If he wants to die because he killed this precious girl, then he had plenty of time to kill himself before he was caught.  Give him the death penalty, not because he wants to die, but because he deserves it.

If he wants to go why stop him??!!  He needs to go anyways for what he did to an innocent young girl!!!!!!

Yes ,I think it would be a waste of Money to keep him Alive,But then again I believe Yes of Course he’d rather be Put to death, and thats because he’d rather be dead than to have to Spend the rest of his life in Prison,so I believe he should stay in Prison and be Miserable like he made the girl’s Family and of course in Prison,I think he should be out there with the rest, because Rapist,Child Molesters of that Nature isnt looked at too good,Look at Jeffrey Dahmer someone took care of that not that it was right. But in due time,in this case scenario and God Forgive me but he might come close to feeling what she felt.God Rest his Soul either way…..Twinkie Might get him,lol..ok not Funny,But Laughter is all the best Medicine.

I am mixed on whether or not he should die.  I think he is evil and it bothers me so much that his evil face is what that poor girl saw before she died.  He deserves punishment much worse than our society allows.  I do agree that we as taxpayers do not need to pay for him to live his life in prison.  Death is too good for him but may be better than paying for the evil, horrible man to breath and eat.

He shouldn’t get out this easy! Put him in a little room with pictures of all his innocent victims taped behind a bulletproof window with nothing in the room with him to make him suffer. I know it would cost a lot of money to keep him up, but don’t let him have what he wants! Or is this reverse phsycology he is playing?

Abso-d***-lutely!!!

brandy brandy | September 11, 2008 at 12:08 am

I truly think he shouldn’t be offered death. I feel that he should have to live with what he did, untill God is ready to punish him. I feel that for him death is an easy way out, he should think about what he did to Tiffney and her family.

David David | September 11, 2008 at 8:21 pm

If you give that guy death, you are fulfilling his wish! He brutally killed a smart, pretty young woman and somebody wants to actually give this creep WHAT HE WANTS?? NO, you put him IN prison, and let the inmates have at him! Yes, he will ultimately get his wish, JUST ABOUT THE SAME FASHION HE TOOK HIS VICTIM’S!!

M Simpson M Simpson | September 16, 2008 at 12:23 am

With all due respect to Brandy and David and everyone else who said no, I’d rather “give him what he wants” - the death penalty with no appeals nor chance for stay of execution - than to have my tax money wasted keeping him alive.
