Losing Weight in 2007

Losing weight.  In the age of obestity, far too many of us need to be doing it.  And it’s hard. Very hard. 

The FDA just warned folks not to look for answers in a pill.  The way to lose and keep it off, the experts say, is the old fashioned way.  My personal trainer Gary Painter always reminds me to do three things… change what you’re eating, how much you’re eating and exercise. 

The South Carolina Shrinkdown started January 8th.  Click the link to learn more about how this free program works.  In South Carolina last year, people lost a combined 75 thousand pounds!!

None of it is easy, but for those who haven’t exercised that’s the part that can be the most intimidating.  And it’s the most important.  You’ve got to burn calories to burn that fat. 

I’ve been working on it for a year.  And in the last few months I haven’t done as well.  But the nice thing about trying to lose weight is each day gives you a fresh start.  It’s up to you.

I’m doing the Spartanburg Shrinkdown and I think it’s very important for a lot of people to be involved.  Even if you’re not necessarily looking to lose weight, it’s always good to try to find ways to live a healthier lifestyle.  Kudos to Amy Wood for looking great as she’s losing weight!
