Michaela Blanton - bravely shares her life of love and loss

It was generous of Michaela Blanton to take time to face the cameras, and talk about the man she loved and the son she’s doing everything in her power to help survive.
She didn’t have to face cameras and talk to reporters. But she wants everyone to see the love that is gone, and the love that will live on.
After Michaela made me a friend on Facebook, I asked if she’d mind me sharing more of the pictures that tell the story of her life of love with Shawn Blanton who she called her soul mate. On facebook she wrote, “Oh yes, I have DEFINATELY found my soul mate.”
She’s generously allowed me to share these precious pictures.
Michaela has spent week after week, living through tremendous loss, finding strength in the smallest of angels.
Her son Tye, she says, is keeping her going. He is her source of strength. The picture on her Facebook page of her late husband Shawn touching his son, includes the caption - “Daddy’s loving touch.”
Two weeks later Shawn was gone.
The man who was supposed to stand by her and help her through her babies health struggles, died on the floor below his son, in the emergency room, after being gunned down on the side of a North Carolina road. He was just doing his job, trying to serve and protect you, on the highway patrol.
There are funds set up to help Michaela. I’ve shared them with you before and share the fund information again tonight. She didn’t ask for any help. I didn’t tell her I was going to share the information again with you. But at this point. It’s all I can do.
Hug your families. Tell them you love them. Life is precious and never guaranteed.

We continue to pray for this family. Although we don’t always understand things, God is always in control and has us in the palm of his hands.
My sincere thoughts and prayers are with Tye and Michaela. I can’t even imagine what she has gone through. Being a new father myself there is no greater love in the world than the love for a child. I know life seems so unfair sometimes but God has a master plan and he will provide us what we need for our journey. Keep looking to God for support as well as family and friends and know that Shawn is looking down and also taking care of you all too. There will be better days ahead!!

These pictures are incredibly beautiful. You can see that they aren’t just another attractive couple. They are passionately in love. It breaks my heart to think of her loss. She & her baby are in my prayers.
What a beautiful, but sad, story. May God wrap his arms around her and her baby and protect them with His love!
Please keep us posted on this family. We want to let her know she is loved and being prayed for. Though we will never understand the reason her husband was taken in such a tragic and ruthless manner, but she has so many pulling for her and her baby. We love you Michaela and Tye
May God Bless this family!!! It is a very sad story, but God never closes one door without opening another!! We see that from the miracle of little Tye.
