Gilmore Girls: Oh Baby!

Tonights episode was a repeat and a fabulous one at that. Oh, for the days of light-hearted chatter and racy text-messaging!

We open to Friday night dinner where the Gilmore’s are joined by Charlotte, one of Emily’s patrons of her Etiquette class. The girl is charming, adorable, and seems to really enjoy learning her manners and is excited for her cotillion.  Lorelai tells her parents that she has broken up with Luke, and their nonreaction shocks her.  As she takes it all in, she starts to wonder if she has lived her life just to rebel against her parents.  (um, no duh.)

Rory meanwhile, is definitely acting on her own accord, taking advice from Paris (who, incidently had the best line of the night when she said “You don’t fall in love with people who make you want to crap your pants.”) starts texting Logan racy messages to try to keep their connection while he is in London. I don’t know about you guys, but watching Rory talk about naughty texting, or sex in general just seems wrong! This is the girl who said “thank you” after Dean gave her her first kiss! Sigh, kids grow up fast these days.

Speaking of kids growing up fast, Lane tells Zach about their pregnancy. Zach irritatingly pretends like it never happened, until Lane pushes the issue and they both admit that they are freaking out. I would be too—they are completely not ready for a BABY!

This episode was delightful, Babette and Ms Patty in the diner was too funny, as was Michel freaking out about the cotillion. I can’t wait until we get to new episodes and see how things develop!
