Sex in the park

I’ve been here almost 20 years, and for most of those years, we’ve had reports of problems with sex in the woods near Milliken.
Officers crack down. It makes headlines. Then it goes away.
Or does it?
Now comes word that a website is pushing Milliken property across the way from the Milliken Pond as a hookup site.
When you’ve got the Sheriff warning you that people expose themselves, and to keep an eye on your children while at the park, it gets pretty alarming.
So what is the solution to this long standing problem?

It’s sad to say, but close up the ponds and make it no trespassing!
This is very sad, Milliken has created a wonderful place. I believe it all comes down to Morals, young people today just don’t have them anymore and or people need help from a doctor and they don’t have the ins. Maybe they don’t even realize they need help and are completely off their rocker. it would be a shame if Milliken closes the place down, but what else can be done? do you think the county or Milliken are going to be willing to spend all kinds of money to protect it? arrest people? over and over again?
This is terrible!! Miliken is a VERY nice place, but it’s becoming not so nice with this going on?? My husband said that it’s been happening a long time there. They are just going to have to make the punishment more severe if they get caught & that way it should break them from doing it. Not in public people!!!!!!!! Have some respect for others & quit being so selfish, disrespectful, & have some class!!!!!!!!!
First of all, I’ve always liked walking at Milliken, especially when it snows, because it’s beautiful. Secondly, sex isn’t going to go away. Thirdly, we should be watching our children closely everywhere, not just Milliken.
In working with sexually abused children, you hear the same thing over and over again, “I didn’t know that was wrong…so and so does always did that…” It isn’t more prevalent. It’s more widely reported, which is good, because we are learning to be more vigilant, and that’s the only way to protect our kids.
Miliken has had this problem for as long as I can remember. When i was little we used to go alot and still take our dogs sometimes but never at night. Years ago I was told it was the place for gays to go and was warned not to go after dark but was pretty sure it was everyone doing it. I would hear people at school talking about meeting there at night. I don’t think they are gonna solve this problem. They said they had at cleveland park but you still hear about it there. As long as it is open to the public there will be this problem i am sorry to say.
there is alot of people there..why not police on bikes every two hours…we the people only live free… when there is no fear in our lifes…I say more needs to be done here…no it hasn’t went away…
