So Gay SC Campaign back in the headlines

By Amy Wood
Friday, August 01, 2008

Another twist in the “so-gay” ad campaign controversy.  The SC Parks and Rec official who said he’d take action is now being accused of saying one thing publically while internally saying something else to his staff.
The Palmetto Scoop, which broke the story, now reports after looking at emails obtained through a freedom of information request, they’ve found evidence that Chad Prosser, the director, contradicted himself.

In a press release earlier this summer the Scoop reports he said ~

“I do not believe that it is appropriate to use state tourism marketing funds to support any specific social agenda, nor would we ever knowingly do so,”
But in emails obtained through FOI, the Scoop reports he said ~

“DO NOT ask the vendor to remove South Carolina from the campaign”

Lawmakers are calling for more accountability including Pickens Representative Rex Rice.

How can you possibly be stupid enough to think that, even after it was noticed in the first place, you can leave it there and, now that it’s been all over the news, surely no one will notice it again?  Whether you like the campaign or not, you’ve GOT to agree that this guy is as dumb as a stump.
