What really is bad about this situation is that people that do have insurance pay premimums,co-payments and deductables for their medical coverage. People without insurance coverage get free coverage in the ER’s and some of their medicines are free as well without having to pay these payments.
People without insurance are alot more likely to go untreated than they are to get free treatment and medication. If you’re sick enough to really need to see a doctor, you’re too sick to relish the thought of spending hours in the E.R. Also, they are more likely to be treated by interns in the E.R.-not that I have anything against people learning their profession-but I don’t want them to LITERALLY be practicing when they practice on me. Ed can rest assured that he’s getting his money’s worth by not having to wait for hours on a physician without alot of experience.
I am a stay at home Mom. I have no insurance because medecaid denys me everytime because I had my tubes tied. I don’t think that it fair, because I knew that i had enough kids. why should i keep having them if I can’t support them. Though there are women out there that keep having babies and living off of the government for free. I think the government should help mothers that try to help themselves not just lay around and keep popping out babies that they can’t take care of. Me and my fiance have been together for 5 years and he can not get insurance on me unless we get married. why should i marry him just for insurance . I know we have been together for a long time but I don’t think it is right that insurance companys can turn down anybody. and it is not true that people with no insurance can go to the er and get meds for free. they charge you for that and send you a bill. i don’t know where they are going because I would be glad to go somewhere where I can ge free meds because I need them. I have alot of medical problems And I can’t afford to go to the dr because of no insurance. So i go untreated for alot of things that could be life threatening.

I think it shows great wisdom and unselfishness that you had your tubes tied. Call St. Luke’s Free Clinic & Regenesis. At least one of them should be really impressed with you.
