This sounds so much better than the ring of my blackberry!

On vacation it takes a few days to settle in to the slower pace, the free time and the quieter blackberry.
There is really only one form of vacation where that adjustment happens almost instantly, for me. When I head to the ocean. Any ocean. Anywhere.
Once this sound starts lapping against my ears… I’m transformed. Hit play to find out what I mean.
This sounds SO much better than a blackberry!!! on 12seconds.tv
Head to Disney, I’m still in “on” mode, plotting and planning to make the most of our time, get the most rides in, etc.
Travel in a new city and I’m all about making sure we’ve seen the sites, got the best tour set up, maximized our stay.
Visit the seashore and I’m mush.
Don’t want to think. Don’t want to plan. Don’t even care if the blackberry is charged. (Only cared this morning when I wanted to shoot a quick video of the ocean and email it to my you tube channel!)
So what about you. What vacation works for you? What it is about the sound of those waves that transforms us?
I’ll keep enjoying the sound of the waves before I head back for the hills - of the upstate!
See you on TV next week!

That does sound pretty relaxing and I am jealous.
The ocean is definitely a place for me to find relaxation and just zone out.
I was an intern in Panama City Beach a few summers ago and the beach was amazing. One of the best parts was at night, the moon rose on the ocean and would just reflect off the water. Very relaxing sounds and such an amazing, well lit view of the ocean.
Hope your trip is great down there!

We are having a great trip… thanks!
I have always heard Panama City is a great beach. Sadly never experienced it.
We’re at Litchfield and loving it!
Honestly I am not super picky. ANY beach with lapping waves will do!
BEACH - NAH! Too many people, too busy! I am a wind rustling through the trees in Tennessee kinda girl. LOVE IT!! NOTHING is more serene to me than a secluded cabin in the mountains surrounded by trees and wind!!!
Have FUN!
I am so jealous….the sounds of the beach are soooo relaxing. The only other sound compared is the sound of a crackling fire while in the mountains on a chilly autumn night!
I love that sound too Rhita… Linda… the mountains rock too, but still it takes me a couple of days to adjust there. The ocean is instant results for me!
Those are all wonderful sounds. Especially love empty beaches, but favorites are crickets chirping, doves cooing, people laughing and wind blowing anywhere.
Completele forgot the absolute best sound ever…rain on a tin roof!
Thanks for all the great comments. Sadly I’ve never experienced the rain on a tin roof sound. It always gets rave reviews. I need to find a tin roof!

Barns & porches are more likely to have tin roofs.
Guess its time to go sleep on a porch then!
