Top Model Cycle 10 Premiere: Welcome to Top Model Prep

To the undoubtedly millions of Internet users who read my blog every week...I’m back! I hope all of you who have participated before (jadeEmpress, brittany e, kiwi0203, to name a few) will be back with me, along with more friends. I really want to find out what fans of this show think - even if you disagree with me!
Just to jump right in, I’m not sure what I think about Marvita being back this year. I didn’t really care that much for her last year. She seems a little softer now, but I’m just not sure yet. I like to give every cycle a few weeks before I decide who my favorites are anyway, but I thought her question to Fatima was completely uncalled for and she went nuts on Allison when the girl didn’t even touch her.
Could Stacey Ann and Kim be any cuter? I just want to stick them in my pocket or something. They have a unique look, and we know from last cycle that a bubbly personality will take you far (Saleisha and Chantal, I’m talking about you), but it remains to be seen what kind of models they’ll be. They are so “girl next door” it’s hard to imagine any fierceness coming out of either of them.
Poor Fatima! Honestly, I really liked her even before she invoked sympathy for what happened to her in Somalia. I thought a couple of the girls went way too far in starting a confrontation with her. I mean, can’t we get through one episode without the “b” word being thrown around so much? And what was with all that screaming from that one girl (whose name I can’t recall)? I was glad she didn’t make it to the final 14. Anyway, I was feeling for poor Fatima - I absolutely can’t imagine what it must be like to have to admit that to a group of peers, much less on national TV.
I thought the Top Model Prep theme for the first episode was cheesy, yet clever, all at the same time. At least it seemed like they were trying to put some life into the premiere and make it more interesting. The first photo shoot looked like the set of Britney Spears’ first music video - you know, when she was still somewhat sweet and innocent. (But I won’t get off on a Britney tangent, because that’s a whole other blog.)
So what do you all think about the premiere? The final 14? Who is the favorite so far? Who will be the “evil” one this cycle? I want to know what you think!
On another note, if you think you can compete to be a Top Model, Your CW for the Carolinas is holding a casting call on Saturday, March 1 from 11AM - 2PM at Westgate Mall in Spartanburg. Click on the blog below this one for more information, an application, and eligibility requirements. If you have any other questions, post them here and I’ll try to get answers for you. We hope to see you there!
And I’ll see you next week when the girls head to NYC!

COMMENTS
Okay, there’s one more thing I forgot to comment on…
What was with the Tyra homecoming queen getup? She literally scared me when she popped out. I was waiting for her to go all “Carrie” and start killing people and stuff.
Anyway, that’s all I wanted to add. :)
