Top Model: House of Pain

Going into this episode, I considered Claire the mature one, the voice of reason, the level head. And even in the beginning of this episode, I actually wrote in my notes “Clair is so together.” By the end, I was rooting for her to go home.
I understand the frustration over Dominique’s alarm clock and I know Dominique has not been the easiest person to get along with in the house, but the way Claire, Whitney and Lauren ganged up on her and some of the awful things they said to her were completely uncalled for. I mean, Claire calling her a “b” just because her alarm clock went off too early? And all Dominique did was ask her if she called her husband a “b” when they disagreed, and Claire had to stoop so low as to say, “At least I have a husband.” That was a low blow and not deserved. Whitney telling her that her place was in the trash can with the trash was horrible, too, but something I’ve kind of come to expect from Whitney. I don’t know what happened to Lauren with her potty mouth and screaming. Who’s crazy, Lauren? Because it appears to be you at this point. The worst of it was when Dominique was in the bed with a migraine and they were all sitting in the same room with her talking loud, laughing loud, and talking about her right in front of her. I sympathized with her on the migraine thing because I have them every so often and loud talking might as well be somebody pounding your head with a hammer. But the way they were talking about her like she wasn’t even there reminded me of a bunch of 12 year olds. I’m not saying they should have talked about her behind her back, either, but if you want to confront her, confront her. I’m not about passive aggressiveness at all. And ultimately, Claire and her cohorts came off looking completely immature, and I was actually quite proud of the way Dominique remained calm and composed and at least tried to talk civily about it. I ended up feeling really sorry for her, because I could tell it got to her.
But anyway, besides that whole situation, I really don’t think Aimee should have gone home. Honestly, I didn’t even think her picture was all that bad. I guess I don’t know as much about modeling as they do, though. I never knew she was a Morman until this episode, by the way. I would think that could potentially conflict with a modeling career. I hate she had to go because she seemed like one of the more level-headed and non-confrontational girls in the group. And you were right, Aimee, you are more mature than some of the girls older than you.
Other random thoughts: I really like Tyra’s hair this cycle. The painful posing thing was...strange. I never took much notice of Anya until this week, but her photo shoot with Nigel really did turn out some gorgeous pictures. What kind of music is emo? Sounds like a Sesame Street character or a cousin to the ostrich. Lauren is so lucky she’s turning out good photos, because other than that, she’s horrible at everything. And Claire’s reaction when they announced her name instead of Aimee’s to stay was so disrespectful to Aimee. It’s okay to be happy (although relieved is the better reaction), but the way she jumped up in front of Aimee screaming, “Yes!” was just a little much considering another girl had just been eliminated. It’s not like you did well, Claire - you should temper your enthusiasm.
Next week, the girls go on go-sees. Are we already to that point in the cycle? It’s going by fast. I guess Whitney has a hard time impressing people. I know this is going to sound cruel, but somehow that doesn’t bother me.

I like Whitney;; Claire is ok..Yet I hope it comes down to her and whitney last ...Yet each week one get nervous or didn’t sleep well ..And they lose there place and go home...Whitney is stronge..I love all the photos she been in..She shouldn’t give up her dreams ..Even if she isnt a Top Model after this..She still could model somewhere ..She healther than most the other girls..She could show that you don’t have to be all that slim...And thats what America need a real women..
