Top Model: If You Can’t Make It Here, You Can’t Make It Anywhere

Wow. Lauren just…wow. What was that? Okay, so Fatima kept insisting that she apologize for throwing out her coffee - which isn’t really an unreasonable request - and Lauren just goes ballistic. Who knew she had so much rage inside? We saw a glimpse of it last week, but this week…whew.
Besides that, Dominique and Whitney are still at odds, but it seems as if Claire and Dominique have patched things up. They had a pretty big confrontation last week, so it’s surprising that they are so friendly now. Claire was a lot better this week than last - she seems to have recovered her maturity. I could tell almost from the beginning that she and Lauren would be on the chopping block, though. These editors make it so easy.
Okay, so I’ve never heard of any of these supposed supermodels they keep having on this cycle. Just wanted to mention that.
I thought it was funny when they were about to go on go-sees and were told that new models can’t afford taxis, so they’d have to walk to all of their stops. But they apparently can afford navigational cell phones?? Speaking of which, I don’t think it’s fair that some models get things like navigational devices and people to guide them when some, like the cycle 9 models, get nothing. Poor Heather could have used a navigational phone.
Anya’s from Hawaii, right? So why is she taking charge when they are trying to find their go-sees in New York? Isn’t Lauren from New York? If so, shouldn’t she be the one taking charge? I think the next time I go to a nice restaurant, I’m going to go to the kitchen and try to tell the chef how to prepare my meal.
I actually felt kind of bad for Whitney at her first go-see when the lady told her she’d never use a plus-sized model for runway. And Dominique’s “Bye bye, Whitney” comment was uncalled for. But then Whitney makes fun of Dominique’s face when she’s walking. Those two are starting to get on my nerves. Just wait, though. They’ll probably be best friends by the end of the show.
Oh, and I’m so glad somebody said Fatima is too small. I mean, a size 0? How is it possible to even be a size 0? Doesn’t that mean you don’t even exist?
I really liked the photo shoot idea this week better than most this cycle, but all of the pictures ended up looking like those 3-D ultrasound pictures. It seemed like the weirdest-looking faces were the ones the judges liked the best. And poor Claire. Owie.
I love Katarzyna’s new haircut, but I thought Paulina’s comment that it got rid of her “weird Eastern European tackiness” was so rude. Between that and Tyra always telling her she looks hoochie, the poor girl can’t catch a break.
Figures that once I had kind of made amends with Claire that she would be leaving. It so should have been Lauren. I think she and Stacey Ann should be the next two to go. Stacey Ann just seems kind of there and isn’t very memorable. But I guess somebody must see something because she won the go-see challenge.
Next week looks very interesting as Fatima runs into some legal trouble that may force her out of the competition. (Oh no!) And Lauren has an accident in the kitchen. (Ouch!) Let me know what you all think so far and I’ll be back next week!

COMMENTS
I actually liked Claire and was a bit shocked that she got sent home. I think Lauren should have gone. Her runway walk is horrible! She looks like a hunchback when she walks. They kept talking about her awkwardness and how she needs to overcome it but she hasn’t gotten any better and I don’t think she will get better. She takes beautiful pictures but her runway is terrible.
My favorites so far are Katarzyna and Whitney. Whitney needs to tone down her attitude a bit but she did really good at the go-sees (even when being told she was too big).
I agree with you about this photo shoot, very strange. I don’t know how they could judge them they all looked weird to me.
I was glad to see Claire go. Her childish behavior on the previous episode was really uncalled for. I lost all respect for her. I think Fatimma will win, but she is so tiny… I mean, she’s barely there.
