Top Model: RECAP TIME!

I LOVE recap episodes!!!
Not really. I hate them. Just wanted to get your attention early because the rest of this blog will probably not be interesting. No, seriously, don’t read it.
So we get the inevitable recap episode before they go to their international destination. Most of it is stuff we’ve all seen before. Yes, we KNOW they all went to Top Model prep. We KNOW Stacey-Ann did a weird lap dance in her interview. We KNOW Amis is crazy. We KNOW Dominique likes herself. And Kim quit, Atalya was just “pretty,” Allison was ungrateful, Amis dressed badly, Marvita lost her spunk, Aimee was too versatile, and Claire was too not versatile (which never made sense to me…what do you people want?). However, there were a few moments they treated us to that we hadn’t seen before.
Kim really perpetuated the stereotype about blondes. If I was a blonde, I’d be offended.
Case in point:
Kim: “Do you know how to make hot chocolate?”
Seriously?
Kim: “What is this for?”
Another girl: “That’s a coffee pot.”
Is she for real?
Anyway, she was super cute, so I guess that helped her out. She seemed sweet, too, and a good personality goes a long way.
It was really funny when Dominique said the bedet made her feel at home. Huh? And when Stacey-Ann called it a “bo-day”, I almost laughed out loud. Emphasis being on almost. I mean it was amusing but not that funny.
The whole thing with Claire drinking her own milk was pretty disgusting. And then when she talked about how breast milk would be a hot commodity someday…just weird. To borrow a line from Rachel Green of Friends, “That’s juice squeezed from a person.”
I didn’t really like Allison when she was there, but the whole eating Jell-O with A-1 Steak Sauce took it to a new level. (I expect compensation from the makers of both Jell-O and A-1 for mentioning them in this blog.) That was just disgusting. I didn’t like what Fatima said to her, but it was almost like she flaunted her anorexia or something.
Remember when Lauren was sweet? I didn’t until this recap. *Sigh!* They grow up and become crazy lunatics so fast.
I found out a lot more about Marvita in this episode. I discovered she was almost as crazy as Amis. And she was an exhibitionist. And a masseuse. And an aspiring (but really bad) musician. Marvita, we hardly knew ye.
I have to apologize to the judges, etc. on the show because I complained earlier that they critiqued Lauren’s horrible walk, but never tried to help her with it. It seems that Tyra actually did when they were practicing walking, but she still didn’t get it. Sorry, Tyra. But it does seem like if she’s still not getting it, she should have gone home by now.
Okay, so does it seem to anyone else that the girls scream about everything?
“You’re going to do a fashion show in the middle of New York City!”
SCREAM!
“It’s Benny Ninja!”
SCREAM!
“Your photo shoot is going to be underwater!”
SCREAM!
“You’re going to have a makeout session with Gilbert Gottfried in the sewer!”
SCREAM!
Anyway, it’s just funny how fake that really is.
I didn’t actually comment on this before, but having seen it again, I have to say something about the way they styled Claire to be a country singer for the music styles photo shoot. Do they really think this is what country music still is? Do they even pay attention? Or were they purposefully trying to cheese it up and make her look like a country singer from the 50’s? Anyway, I can see how it was hard for Claire to do well with that one. She looked ridiculous.
Oh, and I found out the term “emo” is short for “emotional.” See, Top Model can be educational! I know what a coffee pot looks like AND what emo means!
Tune in next week for an actual NEW episode where Fatima may have to drop out of the competition and Lauren has a bad accident in the kitchen. Thanks for your comments these last few weeks. Keep them coming!

I agree Amy I hate them too…. No really I don’t like reality TV cause it isn’t really reality. They should come flim my life now THAT’S REALITY….and better than a soap opera!!
I like the show…I like whitney…She is not so slim as the others..Shes cute to…I think she would make a good Top Modle…As for the rest most have bad me mad..I kept a log on what was going on..Yet I got so mad I deleted the thing…et whitney thats the one
