Top Model: The Girl Who Gets a Mango

Finally!  Here I am, nice and well-rested from my cruise and back with my blog, albeit a little late.  One of the first things I did after unloading my luggage and picking up my dog Smoltzie and cat Macy from my parents’ house was sit down to watch the Top Model episode I missed. (DVR is the best thing since sliced bread!  Well, okay, since the microwave at least. And the Internet, of course.  And the George Foreman Grill.)  I hadn’t even been able to find out what happened or who was eliminated, so it was riveting stuff.  Don’t you think?  What an ending!

I was so proud of Heather in this episode!  She really seems to be taking her critiques to heart and trying to improve.  So does Bianca for that matter.  She’s growing on me, by the way.  But I just can’t seem to figure her out.  One minute I like her and the next I want her to be kicked off.  We have a love-hate relationship, I guess.  Okay, those words are too strong.  We have a like-dislike relationship.  And it’s pretty much one-sided because she wouldn’t know me from Adam.

The editors made it pretty obvious that it was going to come down to Ambreal and Ebony and I was definitely pulling for Ambreal.  The girl really wants it and Ebony acts like she’d rather work as a pooper scooper at the zoo than be a model.  I like Ebony - I really do - but she got so complacent and acted like she didn’t care.  Although she did seem to enjoy meeting Tyson Beckford. It’s one of the only times I’ve seen her smile.  And who can blame her?

When Tyra was standing there giving her little spiel in front of Ambreal and Ebony, I was saying Ambreal’s name out loud over and over.  I had heard a rumor that Ebony quit and after Tyra said her name and pulled out her picture, I was hoping this was the time because it would have been a shame for Ambreal to have to go home.  When Ebony didn’t take the picture from Tyra, I knew that was it.  I can’t imagine how Ambreal must have felt!  She got a second chance and I hope she makes the most of it.  She seems like a nice girl.

So what did you guys think of the shocking ending of the show?  Were you surprised that Ebony quit?  Looking forward to next week!  See you guys then!

well howdy and welcome back Edie!  hope you had a great time ;-)

i am glad Heather is listening to the judges, it shows she’s got the drive to improve. what i like about er is that she has this wierd (almost creepy) look to her but its unique and she can pull it off if she sncerely gives it her all.

now as for Bianca… im honestly scared to begin liking her! you know she was such a jerk in the begining, so i dont wanna root for her then get let down if she becomes the bad guy of the group again..

it was upsetting to find Ambreal in the bottom 2. i think she really wants this and deserves another chance anyway.

now i havent figured out YET why the judges wanted Ebony hanging around anyway.  and no matter what the positives are about her photos, her PERSONALITY AND ATTITUDE are whats gonna either lead her to Top Model Stardom or Yesterday.s News.

AND THEN FOR HER TO QUIT!! that got me so heated!!! think of all the aspiring models who would give anything for her spot! that makes me think she didnt really want it anyway. i know one thing: if that was me, they’d have to drag me out kicking, screaming, and clenching to the door handle with a death grip *lol*  i cant believe Ebony.  *shakes head* that was like a slap in the judges face, dont you think?

and poor Ambreal. this is proably her last chance to impress the judges. its time to bring her A-game and prove to Tyra and pals that they would have made a mistake sending her home..

well until wednesday, my dear!!

peace!!

Hey, jade!  Thanks - I had a great vacation.  Of course, I just read this morning that Tropical Storm Noel is headed toward Nassau in the Bahamas, which is where we were.  Yikes!

I was a little ticked at Ebony for completely disregarding the fact that the judges gave her this chance and she blew it.  I also felt bad that there were others who would have given anything to be in her place.  At the same time, I’m glad she quit.  If she hadn’t, Ambreal would have been yet another person whose place she took.  I’m with you, though, I never really saw why the judges kept her around for so long.  They kept bringing up “potential” (one of their favorite words), but how long should it take for somebody to cash in on their potential?  It should have been obvious to them that she didn’t want to be there.  Jay Manuel saw it.

Can’t wait for tomorrow night!
