When I saw the title of this particular episode, I thought it might be my life story airing. “The Girl Who is Afraid of Heights: The Edie Rowland Story.” Seriously, though, I totally sympathized with Ambreal on this one. She said she felt like a baby, but I wanted to tell her not to feel that way. Acrophobia is a VERY real fear.
On the subject of the photo shoot, I LOVED it. The costumes and makeup were awesome and all the girls just looked stunning. I really didn’t get the connection with gargoyles, because they’re ugly and grotesque and these girls are anything but; however, I did think it was an awesome shoot - one of my favorites ever.
The episode overall was probably my favorite this cycle and I was so enjoying it and seeing the comradery between the girls. Bianca seems to have lightened up and everybody was just having fun and getting along. And then everybody turned on Lisa and I didn’t understand it. I haven’t seen anything in Lisa’s personality that would turn people off. Maybe it’s just jealousy. Who knows? I didn’t really understand why they didn’t like Natasha in Cycle 8 either. Does anybody else have any insight into this?
When Heather was sitting there critiquing everyone, I kept wanting to say, “Shut up!” She is NOT going to make any friends that way, which has been hard enough for her already. At least she pointed out her own flaws, too.
Is it just me or do the models seem healthier than ever this cycle? A few of them are pretty skinny, but it looks like overall, they just have more meat on their bones this time around. I even noticed some small love handles on Saleisha during panel and was very impressed. And was that pizza Jenah was eating?? Maybe I’m wrong for pointing all this out because it’s not supposed to matter, but it’s just something I’ve noticed.
Ebony was hilarious on the trampoline. I was laughing out loud. And she also cracks me up when she refuses to smile at panel. What is with that? I’ve really gotten to like her a lot after we got off to a rough start, but she has got to lighten up.
I was a little sad to see Janet go. I was just getting to know and like her - but that’s usually how it is. I guess the house will look like a pig sty again. Which is disturbing to me.
Tell me what YOU think of this episode. My blog will be several days late next week because I’m leaving next Wednesday for a cruise (Woohoo!) and won’t have access to my television or computer until I get back on Sunday. But I will post it - I promise! Just keep an eye out for it on Monday, 10/29.
On a side note - Dean Cain on Smallville tonight? Score!

here’s my 2 cents regarding why they may have turned on lisa. i have one word to describe it: HATERS. personally i think Lisa has the most potential and i love her personality. its real. furthermore, she wants to pursue modeling instead of exotic dancing, yet bianca couldnt wait to throw that in her face, right? ignoring the fact that she wants to do something better.
on the ‘healthier models’ note, can i get a HECK YEAH for us well proportioned models. i think its great. its realistic which the image that young girls need nowadays. afterall, we are not just models, we are ROLE models as well. i want to exemplify that it is ok not to be super skinny. Edie, you are not wrong for that one at all ;-)
now on to Ebony. sorry, but im not digging her. her attitude was a complete turn off from the jump. i mean its fine to be confident, but she needs to take the critiques more seriously instead of roling her eyes and making a face that denotes ‘mmmkay whatever’...or at least thats my opinion.

Hey, jade! I agree with you about Lisa. She seems like such an awesome person - not to mention beautiful. I’m thinking Bianca just has it in for her for some reason. I can’t figure that out. I mean, I know they aren’t required to be best buddies all the time, but sheesh! I think you’re right - maybe she is just a hater. Maybe it just makes her feel better to put other people down.
