Top Model: The Girl Who Runs Into the Glass Door

Well, this was the recap episode, which they always do at some point, but I don’t remember it being this soon before. It was a lot of stuff we’ve already seen, but some new, never-before-seen footage. That we haven’t seen. Because it’s never-before-seen. Cause that’s what…nevermind.
I love Chantal, but I laughed when she was fighting with Bianca. Hearing that kind of talk come out of a sweet, little blonde girl from Texas was just funny. And I never knew her and Saleisha were that close, but I guess if she felt compelled to take up for her, they must have been. Or else she was just looking for an opportunity to go off on Bianca.
It seems like Bianca has changed a bit since her makeover and it was good to hear from the girls that she actually has. I mean, I know she still has a chip on her shoulder, but I really don’t think she’s a bad person at all. The scene where they all revealed stuff about themselves to each other was…well, revealing. I think the editors really hold back on telling the whole story most of the time, so it was good to see Bianca’s softer side and hear her admit that she’s confrontational sometimes. Although the whole thing with Heather and the phone did make me kind of mad because I like Heather.
They should have shown Bianca running into the glass door earlier. That was too funny! And the whole toilet plunging thing! (That had to have been embarrassing for Bianca.) Janet was pretty cool. I wish she could have stayed. “I taught them how to plunge a toilet.” That’s just funny. And kind of sad that they didn’t already know how.
I was feeling for Jenah when she chipped her tooth. That’s bad enough on a regular day, but when you’re trying to compete for a modeling contract, that can be kind of devastating. I chipped my tooth once and didn’t open my mouth for two days until I was able to get it fixed. But once they fixed it, you couldn’t even tell and still can’t to this day. Those dentists are miracle workers!
I had forgotten just how stuck up and “diva-like” Ebony was in the beginning. She really changed a lot between the first episode and when she left. And not all of the changes were good. She needed to be taken down a notch or two, but it’s like she lost all confidence and spark. It was almost like she was a completely different person, and that made me kind of sad.
I really like how, minus a few little scuffles here and there, the girls seem to get along. I like that there aren’t any real standout villians like in most cycles past. I mean, can’t we all just get along? Join hands. Sing Kumbaya. Group hug.
As fun as it is to see the new clips on the recap episode, I’m ready for a new one. Will Ambreal step it up or blow her second chance? Who was the girl who collapsed during the music video? We’ll see next week!
