Top Model: The Girls Who Crawl

By Edie Rowland

Alright, it’s official.  I don’t like Bianca!  I’m not going to let her fool me into giving her a break again.  That girl is SO insecure.  And immature, even for an 18 year old.  She can’t stand to see another girl in the competition do well and no matter who it is, she’s going to find a way to put that girl down.  She’s picking on the wrong girl.

I’m pretty sure Heather would never even hurt a housefly and Bianca is all over her constantly.  I’m glad the other girls in the house are defending Heather and it’s kind of funny how it bothers Bianca so much.  And when Heather collapsed at the music video shoot, Bianca in all her vast wisdom takes that to mean that Heather can’t make it in modeling.  “She’ll have a nervous breakdown.” Um, hey, Einstein, her collapse had nothing to do with her nerves and everything to do with the fact that she hadn’t eaten in about 12 hours.  It was physical exhaustion, not mental.  Bianca is so jealous of anyone who does better than she does and she doesn’t even try to hide it.  And I hate to say it, but she looked completely ridiculous in that music video and should have gotten a harsher critique.  I really wanted her to leave this week, but I knew it wouldn’t happen.

I never knew how cocky Chantal can be and I have to say it wasn’t attractive on her at all.  When she kept bragging about how talented she was and how modeling and acting came natural to her and how she was given this body for a reason, I knew she’d at least be in the bottom two.  That kind of talk is just the kiss of death on Top Model (especially if the editors include it in the episode). I still like Chantal and think she’s a good person, but the arrogance was very unbecoming and I really don’t want to hear that talk from her again.  (Got that, Top Model editors?)

Poor Sarah.  She just couldn’t win - being somewhere between plus sized models and thin models.  The funny thing is that she is very normal sized like the average woman you’d meet on the street.  Aren’t those the women that most clothes are made for?  So why can’t she find her place in modeling?  She’s either got to gain weight or lose weight.  So much pressure.  She was pitiful when she got eliminated.  I thought it was kind of unfair because they never really critiqued her in a way that helped her fix her flaws.  They gave her rave reviews other than the whole “you’re losing weight” thing.  So what was she supposed to do?  Stuff her face?  I don’t think it’s right when a girl gets positive critiques and then all of a sudden gets kicked off when it doesn’t seem as if she did anything wrong.  I’ve never seen somebody cry that much at an elimination and it broke my heart.  I hope we’ll see her in magazines someday.

Ambreal survived another week.  She’s like a cat with nine lives.  I wonder how much longer she can avoid the chopping block.  Apparently, next week, Heather goes off on somebody.  I hope it’s not as bad as they made it look in the preview because it made her look pretty psychotic.  Looking forward to next week!  See you all then!

whats up eddie!

im gonna say something harsh to you, tho…

I TOLD YOU SO!!!!

lol jk- but i warned everyone that Bianca is a hater and i just knew she would trip about something or someone in the house.  and its soooo unprofessional-she should be worrying about how SHE did instead of jumping on poor Heather. unfortunately, i think Bianca is gonna stick around- you cant ignored the fact that she makes for good tv ;) it just sucks for the victims of her ‘hateration’

eddie, you do have a point about heathers problem being physical, not mental. but in reality a Top Model will have to endure both physical and mental challenges- i can say from experience!

hey, it was kinda conceited of chantal to say those things, huh? i mean just like i said about ebony- its ok to be confident but way too much is NOT a good look, ma!

and yeah i feel for sarah too. i wish there was a place for her in this industry. but you know, it may be bet for her to have left because for her to lose or gain so much weight n such little time would be dangerous to her health. i kinda hate that she came so far only to be turned away...i do wish her success in the future though…

as for next week, i hope heather is going off on Bianca!

Peace Love!!

You’re right!  You did tell me about Bianca! I guess I was just trying to give her the benefit of the doubt, but I won’t trust her again!

You’re also right about the mental AND physical challenges of modeling, but I honestly think if Heather had eaten like she was supposed to she probably wouldn’t have collapsed like that.

Did you see the preview for this week?  I wonder what’s going to happen with Heather.

Oh, and don’t worry about the misspelled name.  If I had a dollar for every time somebody called me Eddie, I’d be laying on a beach in Tahiti right now instead of writing this blog. :o)
