Top Model: The Ladder of Model Success

Well, we knew there would be drama sooner or later, so here we go in episode two! I have to say that I thought the way Hannah was treated was very unfair. I can understand her being uncomfortable when Isis invaded her personal space. Perhaps she handled it the wrong way by pushing her…him…her, but I’m sure it was just instinct. I thought it was blown way out of proportion. And though I think the way she expressed herself when she was talking to Brittany and Sheena later was perhaps a poor choice of words, they were just childish and petty by going to the other girls to talk about it and then pretty much ambushing her about it. I think Hannah’s a sweet girl, but probably a bit sheltered and not exposed to a lot of different cultures. I think a little patience with her was in order. I definitely don’t think she’s racist.
Anyway, that’s just my opinion, but what do you think?
I’m still trying to figure out who my favorite is at this point. I’m still pulling for Clark to an extent because she’s from SC (even if she does go to Carolina), and it seems like she caused a lot less drama this week (the truth-or-dare hot tub kiss notwithstanding). Analeigh seems very sweet and tries to get along with everyone. But I’m leaning toward Lauren Brie, I think. She had a great week photo-wise and she doesn’t seem to be caught up in the drama that goes on in the house. I like the non-drama girls. I also like Joslyn, even though she did participate in the ambushing of Hannah. It’s hard to not pull for somebody who’s worked so hard to be in the competition and wants it so much. Plus, she’s just funny…and a southern girl. She reminded me a lot of Danielle (C5 winner) in this episode.
Benny Ninja is back! With a contortionist, I think. The way Bree talks reminded me of those mermaids in the show H2O. My boyfriend has a 12-year-old daughter, okay?
Poor, poor Nikeysha. When at the beginning she said that next panel she was going to shut up, I was thinking, “Yeah, okay.” Telling Benny Ninja and Tarina Tarantino that she had to pee when she was participating in the challenge cracked me up, but it’s not a comedy competition. Then when she was eliminated, she tried to talk when Tyra was talking to Isis. The way they had her rambling on as the show ended was so funny! The perfect goodbye for Nikeysha. And I’m glad somebody told her she was too thin and asked her what her eating habits are. If she’s naturally thin, that’s fine, but the show should do more to make sure girls are taking care of themselves. I think they should have a nutritionist live in the house with them for at least part of the time.
Paulina can be so cruel. McKey looks like the love child of Poison Ivy and the Joker? Wha??
So Lauren Brie was deservedly called first and will have her picture displayed in the house. I pretty much knew Nikeysha would be the one to go as it got closer to the end, but I thought Hannah would be in the bottom two because she got so much of the spotlight this week. Those sneaky ANTM editors!
Next week…makeovers! See ya then!
