Top Model: The Models Go Green

Better late than never, right? I’m a little behind getting this blog in because I wasn’t home when the episode aired and just now was able to watch the recording. This episode gave me a chance to get to know a few of the models better and form more opinions about who I want to win and who should win.
First off, I don’t agree with Lisa’s choice of profession. But I don’t think that it should prohibit her from making something of her life and trying to do something better. I really like Lisa (although she revealed a bit of a potty mouth this episode that I didn’t care for) and really didn’t like the way Bianca treated her - apparently, for no reason at all. Bianca’s attitude is just nasty and she’s slowly making herself into the girl that nobody is going to like. She can fake apologize all she wants, but the girls that live with her will know the truth.
What I feared for Heather seems to be coming to fruition. Girls are turning on her and talking about her behind her back for her personality differences that she can’t help. I was particularly disappointed with the way Janet and Kimberly acted about her. It looks as if Victoria might be her one ally, and maybe Chantal. Hearing and seeing her talk to her mom on the phone almost brought tears to my eyes. The worst part was the way they all talked about her out loud when she was within hearing distance. She’s not stupid, girls. She knows what you’re saying. It was the kind of stuff that little kids on a playground do, not adult women. I was so excited when Heather’s name was called first at panel. And Lisa’s was second. The looks Bianca gave were pretty priceless.
As far as the photos are concerned, I thought it was an interested shoot, with some great first shots. (Most of the time, the first photo shoot is pretty rough.) And the smoking ban in this cycle was a great idea. Maybe the next step is to have a house nutritionist who makes sure the girls are eating right. The girls do, however, seem to be healthier this cycle. There wasn’t anybody who I saw this time that I wanted to ship two dozen cheeseburgers to anyway.
I was kind of sorry to see Mila go, because she seems like a nice girl, but after she laughed during the serious photo shoot about cancer, it wasn’t the worst thing that she got eliminated. I’m starting to like Ebony a little better - she was much nicer this episode and I think she’s realizing that pushing people away is not going to help her any. If only Bianca would get that. Apparently, she gets into it with Saleisha in the next episode. Something tells me she’ll be “getting into it” with the other girls a lot.
Well, I’m off until next week, and I’ll try to be a little more timely then. Tune in again next week and then come back and see me!
