Top Model: Viva Italia!

Viva Italia indeed!  I’m so jealous as I watch the girls ride through Rome, looking at the fabulous scenery.  *Sigh!* I’ll make to Italy someday!

All of the girls seem really excited about being there, particularly Anya who was so excited that she fell face first getting off the bus.  Poor, sweet Anya.  The lone exception in all this enthusiasm is, of course, Lauren.  She just seemed to be so over it.  She got the loser spotlight this week, so the writing was pretty much on the wall for her.  Besides the fact that she walks like Frankenstein and has the mouth of a sailor.  She even let one slip during the Cover Girl shoot.  It was funny when Jay told her that Cover Girls don’t say words like that...or something to that effect.

You guys, Whitney is plus-sized.  Oh, you knew?  Well, I thought you must not since she chose to tell us for the 452nd time this week.

Speaking of Whitney, though, it seems that she’s not getting why people think she’s fake.  I saw it when they were modeling their “Italian Style” for Guy Mati...Gay Mada...Gai Mat...that Italian designer.  She stood there with one hand on her hip, her toe pointed out, with the cheesiest smile on her face.  She’s so pageanty (if that’s a word).  Maybe she’s afraid if she’s herself they’ll see that she has somewhat of an attitude.  But it’s still better just to be yourself.  I do have to comment that when they showed everyone waking up, she looked very pretty in the morning.  Not everybody can pull that off.

Is anybody else so glad that the trip to Europe has put to death that horrible Tyra Mail scroll?  Even the cards with Tyra’s face on Mona Lisa are better than that.

Poor Fatima had a hard time again this week.  I liked the way Anya was the only one who wouldn’t talk bad about her when they were eating and how she tried to take her some food (even if that was an ill-advised idea considering how sick she was).  At least somebody was trying to feed the girl.  Eat, Fatima!  Eat!  It’s okay!  Food is not bad.  Food is not your enemy.

Was I the only one who couldn’t understand a syllable coming out of the tour guide’s mouth?  I caught something about Italian style, simple, and...well, that’s probably it.  Anyway, it was cool to see Anya win the challenge again.  This time, they even actually put clothes on her.  AND she was Cover Girl of the Week!  Obviously before people saw the actual Cover Girl commercial.  Yikes.

Tyra is getting so full of herself.  “I walked in the fashion show on the Spanish Steps four times.” “I walked for Gai...Guy...”...you know.  Anyway, she just seems more cocky this cycle than ever before, and it’s not becoming of her.  Although, I did like her hair in this episode.

So we finally said goodbye to the girl who took amazing photos, but could pretty much do nothing else related to modeling.  The censors for this show will be able to take a breather now that Lauren is gone.  Next week, Tyra does the photo shoot and there is something about gladiators involved.  It looked like one of those role-playing adventures that they showed on Beauty and the Geek last season. Which is on Tuesdays at 8p if you’re interested.

Let me know what you’re thinking!  See you all next week!
