Does it seem to anybody else that there are a lot more drama queens this time? Usually there’s a pretty clear-cut villian in each cycle, but this cycle, it’s like the villian changes every week. Dominique? Drama. Fatima? Drama. Whitney? Drama. Not to mention our dearly departed Allison, Lauren, and even Claire at times. And it seems like the few nice girls that they do have are getting booted. Three out of the four left I’m just not caring for too much and feel compelled to root for Anya by default. What happened to those girls you could really get behind? The ones you could identify with? The girls who made you want them to win?
Anyway, not only has casting gone downhill, but this cycle is continuing (and worsening) what we saw last cycle in that we just don’t know much about these girls. We learned a lot about Claire’s family when she was there, and we know about some of the things that happened to Fatima before she came to the U.S., but other than that, I really don’t feel like I know much of anything about these girls. Remember when, by the end of the cycle, you felt you knew the contestants personally? That they were almost like family to you? I really don’t get that anymore with this show.
Regardless, I was less than impressed with this particularly episode anyway. It turned out some pretty good photos, but the cockiness that exuded from Dominique, Whitney, and especially Fatima this week just put me out.
Don’t you just love Anya, though? Poor, sweet, clueless Anya.
I was a fan of Fatima in the beginning and I do think she’s improving and that she’s so very beautiful, but I just really don’t like her anymore and was hoping she’d be the one going home this week. Some of the things she was saying about the other girls just made her look jealous and catty. I do have to say I was impressed by the compliments that Dominique paid Whitney at the gladiator shoot. Say what you will about her (and I could say a lot), but at least she seems able to let bygones be bygones.
The castle where they did the Renaissance shoot was beautiful! Can you believe it was 600 years old? That’s almost three times as old as our country! It’s funny how we go visit these old American houses and churches, but they are just babies compared to some of the structures in Europe.
Have I mentioned that I really want to go to Italy?!
Wow, was Tyra in rare form or what? First, there were her crazy antics at the photo shoot. Then she was going on and on (after she mistakenly said, “Bon soir”, which is French) about how top models travel so much it’s hard to keep the languages straight. I realize she was kind of joking about it, but it still sounded arrogant. The backhanded compliment of Dominique was what got me. “I expected you to be awful, horrible, the worst. But you proved me wrong.” Uh…thanks…I think.
I must point out that once again Whitney’s mouth was open in her photo. But I didn’t think it was as bad as they made it out to be.
I didn’t think it was fair that Katarzyna went home this week. It’s the first time she’s been in the bottom two. She’s been consistently good from week to week. Whitney has been in the bottom two, what, three times now? I felt like Kat deserved another chance. It’s especially sad because they waited until she was leaving to let us hear more than two words from her. She’s a beautiful girl. I’m sure she’ll go far if she wants to continue pursuing modeling.
Well, I guess we’re in for a lot of drama with the bunch we’ve got left. Poor Anya may end up running away screaming by next week. Let me know what you guys think of the four girls left. See ya next week!

Yes I got to say the this episode was really confusing ...I just knew whitney was on her way back to the U.S….Yet the shock was when Tara said her name..i was like what…Because even though I think Whitney is pretty ...I think the other had a better photo shots…I dont think they are juding things just right this episode ...Because i really think some of the girls already gone would have made great models…
Yet I was going for whitney ...yet for now…I really got to say…I’m not impressed with those that are left now….So Whitney for now…
Thanks for your comments, Gawngal! I will say that Whitney was much better this episode, and she looked so beautiful. It just amazes me that somebody who looks like her is considered plus sized. And honestly, I really was happy for her that she won the challenge - she deserved it for sure.
You’re right - it was a really confusing episode. I have no idea who is going to go home next.
