What a reporter really needs to survive the political conventions

I’ve anchored my way through the political conventions for more than 20 years. But I’ve never reported from one.
But now I am ready.
This picture of Andrea Mitchell, of NBC News, helped me understand what I will really need.

Not the best laptop.
Not the newest I-phone or state of the art Blackberry.
Not a flip cam to stream live on the web.
No.
What you really need to survive the political conventions, is a pin, to pop the balloons!
Hope this picture gave you as much of a laugh as it did me.
Here’s where I found it on flicker, after seeing a Twitter message about it this morning. Have a great weekend. So are you glad the political conventions are over? Vote in my blogpoll.
