Cancer survival powered by scarves

How do you make it after chemo, after the doc appointments end? The cancer survival continuum can turn into a pretty bumpy ride. And that often takes survivors by surprise.

That’s why the leading expert in the country tells me you need a plan!  Dr. Julia Rowland of the National Cancer Institute is the Director of the Office of Cancer Survivorship.

She came to Spartanburg to support one of the state’s few survivorship programs, and the only such program in the Upstate.  The local program is just a year and a half old.

Listen as she advises how important strategy is to survivorship.

The Gibbs Cancer Center is focused on helping more cancer survivors have a plan.  Cancer survivors are coming to the Gibbs center Mondays from 4 to 5 to make these amazing scarfs.  You can buy them in the Gibbs gift shop.

For 20 dollars YOU can support survivorship. 100 percent of the proceeds go to the Survivorship Program.  And you’ll get a tax receipt, for your donation.  And you get a very special card, like I did, with the scarf creator’s name on it - mine made by Becky!
