Joe Jonas gives my 5 year old and 13 year the surprise of a lifetime in Charlotte

With a 13 year old and 5 year old daughter, mention the name Jonas and all conversation stops at my house.
We are fan club members, because both of my girls LOVE the JoBros, and we went on line to try and get the best seats possible when they first went on sale for Friday night’s concert in Charlotte.
All we knew is by the time our tickets went through we had row 12 seats. When my girls got there the seats were right next to the stage! I got a call from Brianna, my 13 year old, super excited. But I thought she might be exaggerating about just how wonderful the seats were.
I had to work Friday night. I wanted to take the girls and their friend Anne Townsend to the Jonas concert myself, but couldn’t. So my sweet stepdaughter Jami took them.

Thankfully The Charlotte Observer’s editor, Rick Thames, was tweeting from the concert! So I started following his tweets.
About 9:25 p.m. I spotted this one:
” Joe picks up one flustered preschooler from the audience.”
I blurted out to my producers Brittany and Shana, “Oh my gosh, Joe picked up a preschooler, that could be Gracie.”
They all looked at me like I was nuts! But being the ever optimistic mom that I am, I kept wondering. And hoping!
10 minutes before my newscast started at 10, the call came confirming it.
My husband had just spoken with the girls, and it WAS Gracie!
Here’s the amazing video! And to top all of this off, Brianna tells me she got to touch Nick’s leg! (Funny enough Brianna’s the big Nick fan and Gracie’s the HUGE Joe fan!)
Gracie will blogged about it on her blog! I’ll send out the link when it posts. But for now, it’s sweet dreams for my girls. But not before Gracie gave me a brief interview about her experience! :)

We owe huge thanks to the VERY kind soul who thought to tape this. It was a lady just down the row, from my girls. She grabbed Jami when it was over and asked for her email, so she could send it to our phone (yes- the crazy wonderful technology these days!) and when Jami asked if she needed her name for the email, the woman told her, “No, I just put cutie-pie-blond-with-Joe-Jonas.” Our thanks to her for capturing this unforgettable experience!
