Meyer Center magic at the TD Convention Center in Greenville with Edwin McCain
The Meyer Center in Greenville packed the TD Convention Center FULL of supporters - because so many people believe in it’s mission. Including Edwin McCain.
The 12th annual Holiday Luncheon raised 50,000 dollars for special needs children.

The program targets children from birth to age 6, before the schools are ready to step in and provide services. It’s a critical service to these children, the executive director Barbara Martin shared with me today.
I made plenty of special friends today, among them Phoenix Cordell who stole the hearts of the room as his parents shared his story. He’s one of the many children benefiting from services at The Meyer Center.
Phoenix was seated at my table and when Edwin McCain took the stage it was magical to watch this little guy come alive with the music. He sang into his spoons every time Edwin sang. I tried to capture his singing as Edwin entertained in this clip.
And later he took over Edwin’s guitar seeming to try to lift it out of the box and get it back in Edwin’s hands so he could hear more of the musical magic.
You can see some of those adorable shots as you flip through my photo gallery.
Edwin and his wife Christy are very special. They sponsored a child on scholarship this year at the Meyer Center. And Edwin lit up the room with his humor and music. Edwin explained why he thinks the Meyer Center in so special.
This was my first Meyer Center event, and I certainly hope it will not be my last!
