No tweeting for NFL players even when it’s working
Many NFL teams wish their players wouldn’t tweet
But one player didn’t listen and got fined.
The San Diego Chargers star cornerback, Antonio Cromartie, was fined $2,500.
He tweeted about the “nasty” food served the players in training camp, and said it was a possible reason why the team hasn’t made the Super Bowl lately.
Some coaches who haven’t banned twitter have advised players to treat it like a 140 character press conference. In other words, don’t say anything there you wouldn’t broadcast to the media. (good advice for everyone really)
So should the player have been fined. Should players be allowed to tweet freely? Vote in the poll.
