Social Media Danger - New Twitter worm - Safety Tips
Want to pass along an important warning about a new Twitter worm and important social media safety tips.
A new worm is coming to people who use Twitter in their Direct Messages, Mashable reports. It looks like this:

When you click on that link in the DM, Mashable reports you wind up sending it out to other people who know you and it keeps spreading.

Tip #1: Keep your user profile info brief and do not visit user profiles during a Twitter attack
Tip #2: Follow safe password practices (never give it out)
Tip #3: Be careful what you download or link on Twitter or other social networking sites (in other words: don’t click through on those spam DM’s you get!)

Tip #4: If you see something, say something (report it to the social networking site).
Tip #5: Follow general safe social networking practices (read more in their blog )
Don’t trust anyone, and be suspicious of everyone. Watch for the fake/bogus sites.
Tip #6: Keep your antivirus/antispyware software and other PC security tools up-to-date
