YOUR QUESTIONS - Living AFTER cancer - survivorship
Buzz words emerge in the world of cancer based upon the realities we face, and the hurdles we finally get over. The latest is SURVIVORSHIP.
What is it? To some who haven’t walked the walk, the end of chemo or radiation sounds like it would be what you’re living for. And it is. Until it arrives. In some ways it is the hardest part. They worry that something is happening, in this new post cancer period. Until now, no one has really focused on helping people survive after cancer. But that is changing.
THE expert on the subject is coming to Spartanburg next week, Dr Julia Rowland, Director of the Office of Cancer Survivorship at the National Cancer Institute.
On behalf of survivors, I want to offer YOU an opportunity to get your questions answered about the challenge that exists moving forward post treatment.
