Internships
WYCW-TV has an exciting opportunity for you. Are you a student interested in a career in broadcasting? If so, in exchange for college credit you will gain a valuable experience and exposure to commercial broadcasting as it is practiced by the professionals.
What are the requirements?
- Your schedule will be based on the number of hours mandated to receive academic credit.
- Meetings with your advisor should be scheduled to follow up on the progress of your internship.
- You must make a working schedule that is agreed upon by all parties and adhere to it.
- A performance evaluation will be conducted at the end of the semester. A copy of this evaluation will be sent to the school and a copy will be retained at the station. This process includes an evaluation of the intern’s functional knowledge, communication skills, ability to work with others, initiative, general progress, and special achievements.

As an intern you will gain valuable experience, professional skills, and the working knowledge to enter with confidence into a career into a career of broadcasting.

What does the internship pay?
Internships at WYCW are unpaid, however the experience will be rewarding to you in making future career choices.
How do I apply?
Internships are available in the fall, spring, and summer semesters. Applications must correspond with your college curriculum schedule. Meet with your advisor or visit your career center and discuss eligibility and application procedures.
