Fugitive Accused In Teen Shooting Recaptured

      CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) - A suspect in the shooting death of a
South Carolina teen earlier this year has been recaptured three
hours after he escaped from a Charleston County jail.
      Officials say 15-year-old Ricky Keith Jones escaped from the
Charleston County Juvenile Detention Center on Tuesday afternoon.
      Deputies found Jones hiding in a van in North Charleston about a
mile from the jail about 6:30 p.m.
      The Post and Courier of Charleston reported it was unclear how
Jones escaped.
      Sheriff’s Maj. John Clark says a dog led deputies to the van
after the area was pointed out by neighbors.
      Jones is charged with murder in the Jan. 8 shooting death of
17-year-old Parris Green in North Charleston.
