Balloon Boy Story - “It’s a hoax”  Charges will be filed

3 days after being griped by a human drama, criminal charges are filed in the Balloon Boy hoax.

The sheriff in Colorado just announced:  Felony charges will be among the charges filed soon in what he’s calling a publicity stunt.  Says the family was trying to position itself to gain fame and get a reality show.

The Sheriff also admits he misled the media, to help the investigation.  Read more here.  What do you think of that?  We media types don’t like being manipulated and put in the position of misleading you.

NEW The Hennes family posts a sign on the door, saying no more interviews, after all the strange comments about “doing it for the show” from the six year old, and an announcement that the Sheriff will be doing more interviews with the family to figure out if it was some kind of staged publicity stunt (see the video interview with Wolf Blitzer and the boys in a disturbing rap video below)

As the mom of a 5 year old, my heart sank when I saw that huge mylar contraption zipping through the air. 

I could only imagine my own child’s panic. 

The danger. 

The not knowing. 

It turned out the boy was hiding in the attic of the family garage.  For four hours!

But when the six year old Falcon, hit the Larry King show, he told Wolf Blitzer, “We did it for the show.” when asked why he didn’t answer his parents when they called his name.  ,His mother leaned over saying ” No No No,” softly.  And then Wolf moved on.

Parents, law officers, the media? 

Why didn’t mom and dad know where he was, why didn’t law enforcement find him, did we really have a choice but to cover such an intense drama?
