BEST OF WEB What is the real danger of Gulf oil spill to Carolina Coast?
Forecasters made it clear today, the oil pouring into the Gulf will make its way up the East Coast, but what does that really mean? Some links to put it in perspective.
I’ve shared a couple of key links on Twitter today, that reveal the chances for our beaches to wind up oil soaked, are not very likely. Though a perfectly timed hurricane could change everything.
First the latest forecast that promises an East Coast Spread from Discovery News
Then, real perspective from the Weather Channel that shows you the percentage chance your favorite beach will be hit. You’ll see the Carolinas are in the 0 to 3 percent range.
And another cool link Tim Terrific shared with me that lets you enter your city and see just how big the oil spill is.
