Live Twitter Interview with Henry McMaster SC Attorney General running for Governor

Attorney General Henry McMaster announced this week he is running for Governor of SC.  So we arranged for this Twitter interview taking many of your questions to the candidate.

tvamy: Thank you @henrymcmaster for doing this LIVE Twitter interview. First question from me on news of day
henrymcmaster:  thank you for inviting me to this forum.

tvamy:  1 of your opponents says constitutional officers can remove Sanford from office - true? and will you attempt?
henrymcmaster:  the courts would likely have a very high threshold for proving incapacitation. which is where such an action would likely end up.
henrymcmaster:  keyword in the provision is whether the governor is incapacitated. I don’t believe we are dealing with such a situation

tvamy:  You’ve put out 10 point plan for SC econ which of 10 is top priority
henrymcmaster:  top priority is ensuring the governor works closely with business leaders on job recruitment and expansion.
tvamy:  anything to say to techcrunch opposition to your run based on Craigslist suit?
henrymcmaster:  Not really. The concerns of hard working South Carolinians are more important to me.

tvamy:  did you get the craigs list tech crunch question, reaction to article on your run for Gov, do you regret the suit?
henrymcmaster: simple. craigslist knowingly posted ads for prostitution, which is illegal in SC. we told them to stop.

tvamy: It’s been ANOTHER big Sanford news days welchmom asks what if anything have you learned from Sanford’s mistakes?
henrymcmaster:  we need a governor who is focused on job creation with an economic strategy for SC’s future. That’s what I will be.

henrymcmaster:  Absolutely. I have fought to protect life, born and unborn and adoption is a key component.

tvamy:  One last ? from blufftoniancom Where does u stand on growing tourism & the direct correlation to environmental concerns?
henrymcmaster:  we’re blessed w/ unmatched natural resources & tourism industry that drives our economy.we dont have to sacrifice one for the other
