It isn’t about the “vampire” aspect for a lot of us. It is the story and how the love you have for someone can change every aspect of your life. I’m not a teenager (far from it) and I still enjoyed the books very muchand am always excited when a book I love is mad einto a movie… Vampires or not!

I am 43 and watched the 1st one with my son. It is not a gorry VAMPIRE movie as you would think. I thought the same thing as you. This is just a nice, romantic, drama. The 1st one was great, will be excited to see this one. But it is not Bloody or anything like that. Just GOOD.
