Sanford Affair:  How are the governor’s religious comebacks playing with you? BLOGPOLL

image
The late night comedians are having a field day with Governor Mark Sanford’s repeated religious references, as he fights to stay on as governor and “repair the trust.”

In his cabinet meeting he talked about King David’s “mighty fall.”

During his confessional news conference he made repeated religious references.

Transcript of Sanford’s news conference

Monday, speaking to reporters he was at it again.

Some would see this as a validation of his fundamental faith, that will carry him through the healing process.

Others - see it just another politician in trouble playing to his religious right base, by cashing in the faith card.

Some comment the governor should stop lecturing publically with his religion and focus on fixing things privately with his family.

What about you?
